The 13th Man is the forty-fourth chapter of the Black Cat manga and the sixth chapter of Volume 5.
Plot[]
At Fector Town's Police station, Sven Vollfied is interrogating Blum Pullman about his encounter with the "Black Cat". Once he was done, Sven leaves the police station and tell Train Heartnet that the imposter is using his notoriety to catch criminals and collect bounties, but Train still has no intention of catching the imposter. Sven tries to convince him to do so, then asks about Eve's whereabouts. Train tells him that she is at a bookstore.
Eve buys a book and exits the store, just in time for a sragecoach to stop in front of her. Eve is amazed at the sight of a horse the recieves a call from Sven, tellling her he and Train will come soon, so she waits for them. A man calling himself the Black Cat exits the stagecoach and pays for the ride. He notices Eve staring at gim abd assumes that she is in love with him, so he apolagizes to her, stating that he cannot return her "feelings". He tries to make amends by buying her cake and grabs her hands. This hurts Eve and she transforms her hand into a mace before throwing the imposter to the ground.
Train and Sven are walking through the town, discussing what to do about the imposter. Train asks how they will find him and Sven answers that they will ask around since the town is small. They come across Eve, who says she has dealt with the imposter.
Somewhere else, a group of men in black get out of their car.
