Sven's Graveyard Visit (Part One) is the twenty-ninth chapter of the Black Cat manga and the first chapter of Volume 4.
Plot[]
At a graveyard, Sven Vollfied is standing infront of his friend's, Lloyd Goldwynne, grave. He talks about how the vision eye has helped him and how it has been sven years since Lloyd's death.
Somewhere nearby, Train Heartnet is practicing shooting while Eve is watching him. He shoots a can six times, four bullets go into one hole while two each make a new hole, much to Train's frustration. Eve asks Train why Sven came here and the man replies that Sven comes here anually to visit a friend.
Back at the graveyard, Sven thinks back to that fateful day seven years ago.
IBI agent Sven Vollfied tells a group of kids not to play on the streets, so the kids decide to play at a park. Sven then decides to smoke while waiting for his partner, Lloyd Goldwynne, who arrives and tells him that this habit of his will one day kill him. Sven tells him to mind his own bussiness, before the two get to the point. The two track down an assassin and subdue him. Lloyd notices that the assassin is holding something and uses his vision eye to see that he item is a grenade. He quickly throws a knife at the man's hand, causing the grenade to be dropped. Sven wastes no time in in throwing the grenade away before it explodes.
After their mission is complete, the two head to a bar where Lloyd tells his partner about the vision eye and explains that he can only use it for a few seconds otherwise he will be knocked out. Sven asks why he joined the IBI if he possess such power. Lloyd explains that he got his first vision when he was 11. It was about his parent's murder which happened the very next day. Since then, Lloyd has vowed to use his power to protect people from harm. Noticing that it is late, Lloyd says his goodbyes to Sven and quickly rushes out of the bar to get home. Unaware to any of the two IBI agents, two men are outside, watching.
