Anubis (アヌビス Anubisu) is the Chronos number VI who only appeared in the anime.

Appearance

Anubis is a large black wolf, capable of human speech, with a long, mechanical tail made of Orichalcum named Osiris. His tattoo, VI, is carved onto his face above his left eye.

Personality

Not much of Anubis' personality is shown other than he is very intelligent and is loyal to Chronos.

History

At some point, Anubis became a Chronos Number and had a mechanical tail attached.

Anime Plot

When the bio-weapon Eve is abducted by the Ex-Chronos Number, Mason Ordrosso, and fused with a machine that is capable of recreating the world. Anubis, along with Lin, Sephiria, Belze, and Jenos, fight against the Zero Numbers and are nearly beaten. However, with the destruction of the machine, Eden, their opponents were also destroyed.

Equipment and Abilities

As a wolf, Anubis can bite or scratch with his natural weapons.

Osiris: as a number, he also possesses a durable orichalcum tail, which was strong enough to withstand attacks from Shiki's Insects.

Trivia

• Anubis is one of the few Chronos Numbers who do not appear in the manga.
• He is the only Chronos number that is not human.
• Anubis is the only anime-only number that did not die.
• The idea of him being a wolf may have been inspired by ancient Egyptian mythology where Anubis was the God of the dead, and was represented by a jackal. he ruled as the lord of the dead until he was overshadowed by Osiris.
• Anubis is similar to Eathes: Both are the only non-humans of their teams, both are talking animals, and both have appeared in one of either the manga or anime but not the other. Also, both have helped Train and his friends.
• His name consists of 6 letters, matching his number. It's unknown whether this was intentional or not.
